A note on risk: is your risk reduced by investing in "low risk" investments? Many investors forget that there is risk in low return! In the long-term scheme of investing for retirement, your money loses value from inflation. If you are planning on retiring on the return from your low-risk/ low-return investments, you run the risk of running out of money- before you run out of retirement. Investors should access their own tolerance for risk, including the risk of inflation, before deciding which fund to invest in.
