November 8 - 14 - Annual Great Chowder Debate - Chowders of conch, clams, lobster, scallops and crab are laced with concoctions of secret spices, all leading to temptation and satisfaction. Even will be held at the Conch House Marina. Call (904) 829-8646.
November 22 - Nights of Lights Program - More than a million tiny white lights will outline the bayfront and buildings of the historic downtown St. Augustine area. Entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. in the plaza, with the official lighting at 6:45 p.m. Call (904) 825-1010.
November 28 & 29 - Fall Arts and Crafts Fair - Art created from lace to limestone and crayons to crystal. A juried sidewalk festival. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call (904) 829-8175.
December 4 - Voices of the Past - Classic British storytelling, music and dance recount the charm of St. Augustine in the historic downtown area at 8 p.m. Call (904) 794-7682.
December 4 - 6 - Grand Illumination - Begins at 8 p.m. and ends at the Government House 48 King St. Torchlight procession re-enacting British Colonial customs. Call (904) 794-7682.
December 5 - St. Augustine Christmas Parade - Begining at 11 a.m. the parade will feature bands, floats and Santa Claus arriving downtown. Sponsored by the Historic St. Augustine Area Council of the Chamber. Call (904) 829-5681.
December 13 - Luminaries in the Plaza - From 5 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. the downtown plaza is aglow with tiny white candles. Traditional carols are sung. Sponsored by the Pilot Club. (904) 797-3908.
December 13 - Old World Christmas B&B Tour - The 4th Annual Bed and Breakfast Tour with Inns open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission includes a tour of the many inns, refreshments and prizes. Call (904) 829-1711.
December 13 - Handel's Messiah - Annual performance of excerpts of Handel's Messiah at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 36 Sevilla St. 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. $5 at the door. Call (904) 829-6451.
December 15 - Regatta of Lights - Bayfront, 6 p.m. a holiday parade of boats in the Matanzas Bay. Call (904) 829-8646 or 471-1804.
December 21 - 18th Century Christmas Caroling - At 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., from the downtown plaza to the Castillo de San Marcos, the public joins in a candlelight parade through the historic city. (904) 797-6496.
