TO RECORD:
1. In this type of hook up, the VCR will be able to record whatever channels can be selected at the VCR. To view what you are about to record, you must choose channel 3 on the box, as well as the TV. Remember--the TV/VCR or TV/VIDEO indicator must be in the VCR mode.
TO WATCH TV WHILE RECORDING:
2. After completing step 1, switch the TV/VCR or TV/VIDEO button to the TV position. Now change the channel on the cable box to the one that you would like to watch. The VCR will continue to record whatever was set up in step 1 and the TV will receive the channel from the cable box.
TO VIEW A TAPE:
3. Put the TV and cable box on channels 3. After putting your tape in the VCR, make sure that the indicator is in the mode of VCR or VIDEO.
4.This is the correct hook up if you want to be able to watch one show and record another at the same time.
note: If you would like to install a video game , connect the adapter that comes with the game to the VHF in on the TV and connect the wire from the cable box output to the video game adapter.
