I have a source of hand carved djembe drums from the Ivory coast of Africa. I have also some some drums from Ghana that I have received recently. I have been into making drums as a hobby for 15 years, and I have had several projects that were fun to build but I was never able to produce the sound that these drums have. If there is anybody interested in owning one of these drums that I have completely rebuilt let me know and I can give you further details. The heart and soul of drumming is in me and I want other people to have these drums at a reasonable price.

thanks

When you reply to this page, I will send out my general information letter as my first reply. This first reply is not real personal but it gets the information out faster to you. If you want more information I will send a personal reply. I am very good and prompt at getting replies out. If for some reason you do not hear from me right away and are still interested, send me another reply, I get quite a lot of mail and it is possible I deleted your response by mistake.

Information about Djembe-L list server

The Djembe-l list is no longer. There is a new djembe list server at one list and the link will be here shortly. The politics got to bad on the original djembe list and the new one is working out well. The faq is still there and very useful. You can sign up for the new djembe-l by going to the FAQ link. I hope to see you there soon

Here is the link to Djembe-l FAQ, this link will provide a look at past postings to the list and a wealth of information concerning drumming, mechanics of the drum itself and links to many more sites. Djembe-l FAQ I highly recommend a visit to this site, there is even a page that tells you how to buy a drum.

UPDATE

I am currently starting to work on a drum for a fellow in Orlando and have the head on a drum going to Flagstaff AZ. Just shipped one out to CA last week. I never thought this hobby would keep me this busy. Starting this weekend I end 7 years of working night shift. I will be working 12 hour days, about 3 a week so I am going to have more time to keep up with rebuilding drums, I might actually have some drums finished before they are even ordered. I appreciate all the letters and replies I have gotten and feel like I have made a lot of friends from this page even though I have never met anybody face to face. Thanks for visiting.

The drums that I have sold are located:

I have four drums in Idaho, 3 in northern and one in the southern part of the state. One in Flagstaff AZ, One in Buena Park CA,One in Birmingham AL,One in WI, one in CT, one in Atlanta, two in Irvine Ca, one in Knoxville, one in Vt, one in Gainesville Fl, two in Midland Tx, one in San Pedro Ca,one in Arlington VA, and a handful scattered around the state of Fl.
