about cytocolor cytocolor's original mission was to find synthetic organic dyes that could be used as biological stain for hematology and cytology. Our mission continues to this day and is ongoing. Extensive testing and research has gone into the development of our products, and we are confident that they will be reliable and easy to use in the laboratory setting for hematology, oncology, and cytology. So far, of over 4800 different dyes that we have tested alone or in combination, less than 10 showed promise as biological stains. Of these, 7 made it to a product stage. These form the foundation of the cytocolor line of stain kits. In many instances, they are selective for one or more cell types, and permit identification of cells on the basis of distinctive color and size.
