“What you need for your first and second promotions”

 

If you are a new cadet, this is a can’t miss activity.  We will be covering a basic CAP orientation and giving you the foundation of what you need to get your first and second promotion.

ES Part 1/BCUT

Want to get your golden ticket but don’t know how?  This class will provide the basics that you need to know to start participating in emergency services and get your basic radio operator card.

CMG will be assembling a color guard competition team.  The team will compete in the NY Wing cadet color guard competition in April.  Expect weekly practices the 4 weeks before the competition (Competition date TBA).

NY Wing Conference

 

CAP members across New York State come together for our annual conference in Albany.  This may not be exciting for new cadets, but more experienced members will find the seminars informative.

Summer NJ Wing GSAR

Application date and costs to be announced.

Join our annual trip to Ft Dix in NJ.  On post the NJW Ground Search and Rescue Schools take place.  If you do not have your Ground Team card yet, this is the perfect opportunity to get it in one week of continuous training.  For those with the specialty card the Advanced SAR school is available.  For a select few the exclusive TRACKER school is available.  Seniors from our squadron serve as senior instructors for Basic and Tracker.

Although there is not yet a date on the schedule for this activity, attending the Encampment is a requirement before you can get your Mitchell award.  If you have never been, this once a year activity is almost a requirement.
