Notes:
Ezekiel served in the War of 1812 in the Tennessee Militia. He was a private and then a Captain in Cook's Company. Ezekiel's unit fought under Andrew Jackson at the Battle of Horeshoe Bend in east-central Alabama on 27 March 1814. This Battle ended the power of the Creek Indians under Chief Tecumseh. The Creeks had allied themselves with Britain for the War. (From "Ten Generations of Myers in America" by George Alford.)
