Additional Information
Humphrey Johnson:
Notes:
On 2 January 1647, Humphrey Johnson deeded twenty acres in Roxbury to William Chenie. Johnson "granted" the land, and received no payment from his father-in-law. The transfer may have had something to do with Ellen Cheney's dowry. (From "The Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton" by Dean Crawford Smith, C.G.; New England Historic Genealogical Society 1996, page 227)
Humphrey was a soldier in Captain Isaac Johnson's Company in the war against King Phillip in 1675.
Johnson moved from Roxbury to Hingham.
