Additional Information
Edward Stansberry:
Notes:
Edward moved to Cheney's Grove in 1833. With neighbors' help, he fixed up a little cabin before winter set in. The cabin was not totally weather-proof as Edward came down with ague.
He entered the land he had a claim on in 1835, in section 20. Edward sold that property and bought another.
Edward was living in the Township of Cheney's Grove, according to the 1859-1860 Cheney's Grove Directory. (From "Gleanings from the Heart of the Cornbelt", The McLean County Genealogical Society. Winter 2000, Vol 34, No 4, page 149.)
Edward was a small man in stature. (From "The History of McLean County, Ill, Wm. Le Baron, Jr & Co, 1879; page 541)
Polly Ann Graham:
Notes:
Polly lived to be one hundred and ten years old. (From page 110 of "The Good Old Times in McLean County, Illinois" by Dr E. Duis, 1874)
