Roy served in the U.S. Navy. At the young age of 33, Roy was accidently electrocuted while working for the Edison Electric Company in the mountains east of Fresno. He had no children.

Grace B. Polson was already a widow at age 26 during the taking of the 1920 Federal Census for Sanger. Fresno County, California. She was living with her mother Caroline in a house her mother owned. She was working as a bookkeeper in a bank.
