William Orendorff:

William Orendorff moved to Blooming Grove, Ill in the spring of 1823. He was appointed Justice of the Peace by Governor Coles in 1825. He was also nominated to the House of Representatives.

William was a man of great popularity, and had many friends. He took great pleasure in entertaining everyone who came to his house. He was always ready to help and assist. (From pages 149 - 151 of "The Good Old Times in McLean County, Illinois by Dr E. Duis, 1874)
